Getting started — your first 5 minutes with Growth Wingman

How to sign up, find your business, configure your wingman, and get your first answered call.

Welcome to Growth Wingman. This guide walks you from signup to your wingman handling its first real call. Total time: under 5 minutes.

Step 1 — Sign up

Visit growthwingman.com/signup. Pick your trade from the dropdown, search your business in Google Places (autocomplete will pre-fill your address, hours, phone), confirm details, and check the SMS consent boxes. No credit card required.

Step 2 — Confirm contact details

You’ll provide your name, email, and mobile number on Step 2. We’ll text you the moment your wingman is provisioned (usually under 60 seconds).

Step 3 — Activate

The summary card on Step 3 shows everything we’ll set up. Hit “Activate my wingman” — you’ll land on a status page that shows live progress as your dedicated phone number gets provisioned and your trade-specific workflows load.

Step 4 — Forward your business line

Once you see the success message with your wingman number, follow our carrier-specific call-forwarding guide to point your existing business phone to your wingman. This usually takes 2 minutes:

  • Wireless (Verizon / AT&T / T-Mobile): dial **21*<wingman-number>#
  • Landline / VoIP: code or admin-portal setting (we walk you through each one)

Until you forward your line, your wingman won’t get calls.

Step 5 — Test it

Call your existing business number from your personal phone. Your wingman should answer, identify itself as an AI assistant for your business, ask qualifying questions, and offer to book a job or transfer you live.

If it doesn’t, book a 20-minute setup call and we’ll get you live in real-time.

What happens next

  • Day 1–14: free trial. No card needed. Your wingman handles every call as if you were paying.
  • Day 14: optional card add-on via your dashboard. If you don’t add a card, your trial pauses (incoming calls go to voicemail with a brief “trial ended” greeting). 5-day grace period.
  • Day 19+: hard pause if no card. Your data is retained for 30 days, fully exportable, and your wingman is a click away from reactivating.
